Dzmitry Miranovich – Co-Founder and CEO
- Former investment professional at The Carlyle Group, with over $400 billion of assets under management.
- Extensive experience investing in multi-location healthcare service companies, including investments in several veterinary consolidators.
Bill Wagner, DVM – Co-Founder and COO
- Extensive experience as a veterinarian in small animal general practice
- Founded a specialty pet care product brand, Doc Wags
- Received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University and his Bachelors of Science in physics from Boston College
Tedd Trabert – Director, People & Success
- Tedd has 25 years of experience in the Human Resource Field, including roles as the former strategic People Leader for the nation’s most recognizable names, such as Home Depot, USAirways, Continental Airlines, and Jetway Airport Services.
- Tedd’s expertise in multi-location, multi-state networks include the nation’s best community health network, Florida’s largest network of urgent care clinics, and the largest international family law firm.
Cody Waldrop, CVPM – Practice Management Officer
- 17 years in the veterinary industry. Cody has worked in a variety of roles within veterinary practices throughout his career. In his last role, Cody was a regional manager at one of the largest veterinary groups in the U.S.
- Cody is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) and received his Bachelor of Science in Public Health along with a minor in Biomedical Physics from the University of South Florida.
- He is also an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA) and has served on the VHMA Industry Advisory Panel since 2019.
Lisa Smogar – Controller
- Lisa brings to AVP a strong background in corporate accounting with 17 years’ experience in the Dental Service industry.
- She has many years of managerial experience and expertise as a Finance Controller analyzing and developing financial information.
- Lisa brings input to the company’s business strategy, planning, and financial reporting.
- Graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with a major in accounting.
Deanna Mercurio – Talent Acquisition Manager
- Deanna brings to the Success Center an exceptional record of demonstrated success in veterinary talent acquisition. Her strong background in marketing, social media, and brand management aides her in successfully onboarding veterinary staff.
- She creates a positive candidate experience from phone screen to offer through her genuine relationship building and her authentic rapport with each candidate.
- Deanna received her Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College with a focus on Communication Studies and Management
Rylie Vander Plaats – Partnership Manager
- Over a decade in the veterinary industry, Rylie has worked in a variety of roles throughout her career including small animal, dairy, equine, aquatic, and exotic animal medicine and care.
- She comes to AVP from the Emergency and Critical Care Department at Iowa State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she was Manager of Clinical Support.
- Rylie received her Bachelor of Science from Iowa State University. Her degree is in Animal Science with a specialization in Dairy Science. She is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association.
Nick Ciccone – Partnerships and Acquisitions Associate
- Extensive M&A experience from the veterinary consolidator world
- Joined AVP with a strong background in corporate finance, data analysis, customer service, and a love for all animals
- Nick says that his photography lessons are an extension of his ability to find beauty in all things. Through Nick’s eyes, numbers tell a beautiful story for AVP.
- Holds a Bachelor of Science from Siena College with a focus on corporate finance and investments.
Andy Wihelm – Veterinary Sourcing Specialist
- Andy brings 4 years of experience as a Talent Acquisition Sourcer to AVP, specializing in connecting organizations with top-tier talent.
- Andy received his Bachelor of Science from Bellevue University. His degree is in Human Resources Management, which gives him a unique perspective on talent acquisition.
- He is passionate about animals and has a special bond with his furry companion, Chester, who influenced his career choice in the veterinary industry.
Rachael Vinocur – Partnership Coordinator
- Rachael brings a diverse career history to AVP. Previous roles include but are not limited to managing and training at equestrian farms, 10 years as a small and large veterinary technician, as well as over 7 years as a Business Development and Partnership Specialist for several corporations.
- She has a passion for providing exceptional partner support and collaborating to assist in building brand recognition and marketing plans.
- Rachael obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Equine Science, with a focus on industry and business, from Colorado State University.
Aira Kei Fronda – Bookkeeper/AP Specialist
- A seasoned accountant with six years of hands-on experience, brings to AVP a unique blend of expertise cultivated across international borders.
- With a global mindset, she has made effective contributions to a manufacturing company in the Philippines, played a key role in a leading healthcare company based in Singapore, and successfully managed diverse clients based in the United States.
- Aira’s proficiency lies in the intricate domain of Accounts Payable, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions.
- Aira holds a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
